Thursday 22 November – Ultra Sound Scan
And today I discovered I have a Cyst on my right kidney which appears to be the main source of all the pain I have been experiencing in my back; once again brilliant service from the staff at my local hospital, George Eliot Hospital.
Now I just need to wait for all the findings to be fed back to my GP over the next week or so to see how bad they are and how they can be treated or maintained.
I am just a little tired of people telling me it is all ok now because they know of a friend or a relative who has either a Hiatus Hernia or a Kidney Cyst; do not think that none of us are alike and that not the symptoms are the same?
“Oh, you lost a leg? That’s alright, my uncle did and he used to run marathons”
“Lost an eye? Never mind you still have another one”
“Got a cold? You should wrap up”
I am not looking for sympathy because those that I chose to tell in person about my state of health have asked to be kept informed, I do not expect them to then tell me how I should be feeling based on their second hand experience of similar ailments suffered by someone they happen to know.
As far as my employer is concerned, even more so my immediate manager, they are in no position to gauge how I feel based on others, if they need to know how I feel either ask me and accept what I am telling you or talk to my GP, I will gladly arrange a meeting.
