living with cancer

This is the one diary I should have kept 14 years ago and one I wish I did not feel the need to keep now. I was diagnosed with bone cancer in 1992 and survived. 2006 and I now have another tumor under investigation: the journey begins again..

All Clear

The MRI scans came back negative and all signs are good. The ‘swelling’ on my left wrist is a muscular ailment and can probably be attributed to picking up our 2 ½ year old daughter!
The ‘lump’ under my left arm pit is no longer there, if indeed it was in the first place. I am glad the hospital is being over precautious and they are extremely thorough with their examinations.
Another 3 months worry free.

MRI scan tomorrow – [14 August 2007]

My latest MRI scan is taking place tomorrow, followed by an appointment at the Outpatients clinic for the results, and hopefully a clean bill of health for a while again. I have tried not to think about it too much.

The Omeprazole capsules are doing the trick and the heartburn appears to be under-control, but not yet cleared. I felt better last week whilst on a camping holiday than I have for a long while.

Recent blood tests do not indicate an upward trend therefore I will not need to have any more for a while as it does not give my GP any cause for concern.
